Jan and basic life skills
So school is on the roll already and I have so many notebooks for loads of subjects to buy. I need to update my stationary and well my new year so far is already gearing into that familiar working phase that I usually get really into only 3 weeks after the new years because it can take me about that amount of time to get used to every new year of school. However, most of my teachers encourage early and frequent studying and revising which I've made a resolution to work on.
I'm also working ways with my tweaked diet with school. The canteen have yet to start making much vegetable dishes and for the first 3 days of school, I kept seeing just fried and fried and FRIED food. I somehow had to cope with steamed food and binged only once by sharing a fried chicken wing with a friend. I take less carbs and more veggies nowadays and because I have less carbs in me, I tend to snack more often. For example, I go for the potato chips or garlic bread or those hi-fibre biscuits with a huge bottle of water to go with. I don't feel deprived so I guess you could say I'm quite alright with my new eating routine and I'm seeing some results. Losing centimeters....
Plus I haven't encounter it but I sense this premonition of acting like a "senior" as a Form 4 to be role models for my juniors. My friends and I, we've been emphasizing how we now sit separated from the lower form and call our exclusive upper form seats the seats for us "elders" and instantly we feel sort of...old amongst the new 13 year old teens and slightly burdened with the idea that in some way these kids will look up to us like we did with our seniors before but I do still feel much young still. Sweet sixteen wait for me!
Despite it still being a new year and all, those basic skills that we used are immediately strapped on again. You know, those skills we develop as we go idle in high school and had to deal with situations independently. Especially for us girls because when we try to tip toe our way from stepping on those awkward landmines that would unleash unwelcomed drama and form extremely uncomfortable moments, we do it as discreetly as possible. Not all of us are successful of course. We mess up and slip and have no choice but to suffer the consequances when stepping on a landmine and some of us just simply aren't good at it. I know someone who used to exaggerates when shes trying to slips past these landmines to the points its either really obvious or misunderstood badly. I believe I speak for all of us in this case no?
My story might come really late so until then I'll probably post updates and topics about things that I feel like getting it out there. Like are you guys a feminist? Cause I consider myself one. Might talk about that or give a more detail explanation to basic life skills and teach you mine hahaha! So before I end this, just wanted to point out that there is a new section to my blog. I call it a "Quickie" and you can find it at the side bar on the right of this thats above the section that displays my followers. Its like a status post only slightly more details. I may write what is mostly going on as well ask a Q so if there isn't any new post, still come check out my blog for a quickie! I will change it a lot for this year and tell me what you think of this new section as well as how is 2013 treating you so far? Good? Bad? Too fast? or just MEH. Ciao guys!

Well as for me.. its been quite the quiet and I'm hoping it might be like that for a little bit more. I don't think I would have my usual boy problem.. Well i cant say too soon but let me rest for a while. Bout that I might make a post.
ReplyDeleteThe quickie section is cute but um.. I've been naughty lately xD if you get what i mean haha sorry to ruin it xD
Oh and as unhumble as I am I wish my seat back buhu.
so yeah~
Cool. Don't be over pressured by the work tho. Try to go with the flow with it. Relax if needed. Anyways good to hear that its been a good start with a lil tweaking on your diet. And I really feel you on feeling older than we used to. I like how you explained about how its like to deal with some situations. I'll keep that in mind. Well, I'll be off to soon-to-be post about how things are for 2013 personally. Cheers to the New Year 2013!
ReplyDeleteP.S: I'm still not used to writing down 2013 as the current year as for the dates that we write down on our books.
Lol. I like your new quickie. It's a good idea for people like me who can be a bit lazy to write down the whole life thing into one big post. Maybe I should do that too? ><
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm still in my holiday mode so I have to really push myself harder whenenver I have homework. It's quite tiring actually.
P.S. See, I'm being a good girl and posted comments on your blog :P
