Yay interest!
Hey guys. So those who actually read my quickies, here is that post I promise. I've been secretly madly into thrift stores. I'm not talking about the second hand stores here in KK, hell no. I'm talking about those BIG and small thrift stores in the US. I've emailed one of my bros about it and he has one big and small in his area at Seattle. He is so lucky and has no idea how much I just wanna engulf him in my aura of envy. Big ones have more variety of clothes, shoes and etc while small ones are great to look for some weird but magically epic trinkets and decorations. Yes, their donated and if you throughly look through the coats, shirts and other apparel, you'll see a loose or missing button or string but you can go to tailor or even sew it yourself. They are even some old collection from branded brands like "Urban Outfitters" that you can nab. Plus the thrift stores there gives you those moment where a girl can come up to you and say "OMG! I love your vintage blouse. Where you get it and how much was it?" And you be all like a boss and say "At a thrift store for 90 cents." How freaking awesome is that? With economy today, I have to find ways to be diverse with my outfits without ever having to think "I need to go to a store to buy ____ to complete that gorg look." Your wallet will be empty before you know it with that way of thinking and so you gotta shop smart (Girls, you feel me in this?) and although you can here in KK, I still think we should have a thrift store like in the US anyway. So I've really been talking a lot about vintage to my bros (via skype and email) and I'm hoping they get the idea of how much I want them to get me cheap but really cute and classy accessories. You can also find old but still usable furniture you can redo to a different design with just a few tweaks here and there. Fun thing about thrifting is that its fun to find something really great and rare for a good price, especially in the weekends with your friends. Generally, one of the best activities to hangout.
Okay so next is this website called Pinterest and I started going on it when this online magazine suggested that to start the new year, you can help reduce stress by maybe making a mood board. I'm sure you guys must have seen this idea of a huge cardboard in a girl's room that she stuck a bunch of picture of friends, art, fashion or whatever they want so that they can just look at it and feel inspired or recharged from life's many depressions and feel ready to take on the world again. But some of us girls neither have the time or money or energy to invest in buying a huge board and nailing it to our wall and made a hobby of cutting stuff off from mags or taking pictures to fill it up. So I believe that I'll be dealing with stress and the article suggested Pinterest or Tumblr but I just never felt like joining Tumblr and check out pinterest works in a different yet same idea. I'm an addict (not overly though) and have two boards. One is public for all to see and you can tell what kind of stuff I pin in it by the board's name which is "Style inspiration" so click there to check it out. The second one is personal and solely acts as my own unique mood board so sorry you guys can't see it. Its really fun if you made a bookmark that connects to your account so that you can even add pics from other websites to your board instead of the ones you find in the website itself. However, the website may allow you to repin from other members, follow them for their pins or like or comment but so far I only ever repin for my own boards but never bother to comment or like so it isn't something for social purposes fyi. I love it for the boards, not for social reasons. So yes, I highly recommend it to you if you just give it a good go.
School is like so advanced and busy. I've got plenty of homework I'm suppose to do instead of typing here under a fan thats not fanning enough because I'm gradually sweating right now while munching haw flakes. Haha. Sports been alright. Everyone is giving me the "I don't want to do any sports at all" vibe and I'm just like "I'm ready for marching anytime." Usually it'd be like "I wanna do this and and that and this too JUST to avoid marching." but no. I mean everybody still doesn't want to do marching but they also don't wanna do anything else, even if its to avoid it. A 2013 phase probably. I am cool with what is happening on Standard Sport's Day with all the sports except for High Jump. Not confident still for that sport but I'll just go for it. I'm dreading for running try outs that we're all forced to do and for what I consecutively fail 3 times in a row. Yeah!...That really isn't something to be happy about huh. Btw if you see any words that are coloured differently from black, their links to click on. I won't say names *cough* Hrmmp Life hurumph *cough*.
That is about it now, please please PLEASE do come still check out my blog for a "Quickie" which you can find on your right above the section that shows my followers. I will update it a lot and real fast for any upcoming events, post, Q's or anything random in my life. So here a lil quote that I made for you to end this and don't forget to comment!
"You're alive. That means you have limitless potential. Go discover them. And who knows? You might come to love it a lot and it could then turn to be your purpose."

*cough* *cough* yeah *cough* *cough* thanks for the reminder *cough* I've actually came across this pinterest website a couple of times but didn't actually really went through it, pretty cool, it does look a lot like Tumblr, but in my perspective, I'd rather have Tumblr. And based on your pinterest site, it looks a lot like a fashion/grunge blog. More of a soft grunge though. I think I might make one too! for you guys :) I shall post about it soon!
ReplyDeleteOh and, ganbatte in your sports and studies, and plus you have awesome bro's, cuz usually a bro doesn't really understand a girls fashion needs or i suppose thats stereotypical but its pretty cool that your bro's understand that.
Plusss thriftstores sounds way more fun than the ones that are at our place. one day, somehow, we should go to a trip to the west and go shopping and tourism there... alskdjhakhsd and we could dress up all fancy! and we could express ourselves through clothes... (like compared to our place, its not that fancy, expressive and open :/ ) That'd be really awesome~ like UK, omg how much stuff that we can't find here and we could find there!!
Yeah, we should totally do that! Ooh! Imagine all the things that we can find *shiny eyes*
